Another lovely morning walk, and the green heron was here today, too. I think it’s a juvenile – lots of brown stripes and streaks. When I saw it hunting last week alongside the bank, its patterns made it nearly invisible as it stalked along the grasses. Also, enjoy some wildflowers.
