Things I Learned.

(Whether I wanted to, or not.)

Some of these things I’m still learning.

  • Just… cook all the bacon. The whole package. Even if the recipe calls for 4 slices, and you have 8 left over.
  • Pocket knives: cut toward air, not meat.
  • Leave earlier than you think you have to.
  • Things come with strings. Every object you own has a to-do list attached.
  • To simplify, subtract.
  • It takes as long to get back, as it did to go away.
  • Don’t offer anything that hasn’t been asked for.
  • Everything takes longer than it takes.
  • Move a muscle, change a thought.
  • Secure your load. (Thanks, Dad. Still haven’t packed a mule yet…)
  • 100% finished is better than 50% perfect.
  • Eventually, it will be fine; or it will be over.
